After absorbing moisture, the product forms a Calcium Silicate Hydrate (CSH) gel, which releases hydroxide ions that increase the pH, creating an antibacterial environment that inhibits residual bacterial growth inside the root canal.

One-Fil utilizes a new technique involving the sealer as the main material and gutta-percha (GP) as a functional auxiliary material. In an in-vitro study conducted by the Department of Conservative Dentistry at Pusan National University School of Dentistry, One-Fil demonstrated a significantly faster setting time than competing products:
